Relief Through VA Care

Massage Therapy Covered by Your VA Health Benefits

At OMAJ Pain Management Spa, we’re proud to support our veterans with therapeutic massage care provided through VA health insurance. If you have a referral from your VA provider, we can work directly with the VA to deliver consistent, focused sessions designed to ease pain, support recovery, and improve your quality of life.

Not sure where to start? We’ll help you through the process from securing your referral to scheduling your sessions.

VA-Supported Sessions

Through VA Health Insurance, qualified veterans can receive 30-minute therapeutic massage sessions provided by insurance. While this is a valuable starting point, many find that 30 minutes isn’t always enough for lasting recovery.

That’s why we also offer our H.E.A.L. Bundles separately extended sessions crafted for deeper results, consistency, and long-term relief beyond what VA coverage provides.

How to Get Started (Simple Steps)

  1. Ask your VA provider for a referral for massage therapy at OMAJ Pain Management Spa.
  2. VA processes and approves your referral. We’ll coordinate directly with them.
  3. Schedule your session. Just text or call us, and we’ll confirm your first visit.

1. Confirm Your Coverage

Before scheduling an appointment, check with your insurance provider.

You’ll want to verify:

  • Is massage therapy covered?
  • Is a physician referral required?
  • How many visits are allowed?

2. Gather Required Documents

If your coverage is confirmed, you’ll need to upload:

  • A copy of your valid government-issued ID
  • Your insurance card
(Both must match and be clearly visible)
  • A physician referral (if required by your plan)

Please upload your documents using this link.

4. Schedule Your Visit

After approval, we’ll help you book your massage therapy sessions based on your goals and coverage.

Looking for Longer Sessions?

VA covers 30-minute massage sessions, but many veterans tell us it isn’t quite enough for lasting relief.

That’s why we also created the HATCH Program — a community option  led by supervised student practitioners through our state-approved training program.

Schedule & Policy

  • VA clients are eligible for 12 massage sessions within a 90-day period, with a schedule of one session per week.

  •  The first session will be 60 minutes, while all subsequent sessions will be 30 minutes each.

  • We are only authorized to treat the specific area prescribed by the physician. Massage on any other area is not permitted.

  •  If a client wishes to receive treatment on a different area, they must first complete all 12 sessions and then obtain a new referral from their physician.

  • We will make every effort to schedule all 12 sessions in advance, but this does not guarantee weekly appointment availability.

  •  Clients will receive an automated reminder 24 hours before each session. If they do not confirm their appointment, it will be automatically canceled.

  •  Before every session, clients must complete the PROMIS form, which we will manually send prior to their appointment. This form is mandatory for each session.
